G7/EMEA Medical Education & Clinical Manager (G7 MECM)

The G7/EMEA Medical Education & Clinical Manager (G7 MECM) is responsible for planning and executing medical education, and training within the European G7 countries (Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain) and the rest of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).  The G7 MECM works closely with surgeon subject matter experts to develop and oversee course objectives, curriculum, educational tools, presentations, and hands-on workshops. Educating G7/EMEA activities include implementing platforms and event coordination for group instruction, lectures, demonstrations and workshops to provide high quality surgeon education programs.

The G7 MECM also supports the Company on clinical research and education, and provides training to Health Care Providers (HCPs) to improve their clinical skills and product knowledge, emphasizing industry's best practices, safety and compliance. The G7 MECMM must always interact with HCPs, business associates and colleagues in a professional manner, ensuring that the Company's image and perception is always the best. Trust, professionalism and an outstanding work ethic should govern the relationship between the G7 MECM and Acumed's agents and distributors.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide training to Health Care Providers (HCPs), distributors and agents on Acumed's products and surgical techniques, following Acumed's medical education and compliance guidelines.
  • Organize Acumed's participation at local medical association congresses and meetings, in close cooperation with Acumed's Medical Education department.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of educational curriculum, including multi-media educational learning objectives.
  • Adapt pre-designed course materials to meet instructional objectives.
  • Ensure all prepared materials are based on clearly defined regulatory, compliance and internal policies and guidelines.
  • Implement comprehensive training structure for HCP's including: surgical staff, residents, Fellows and champion surgeons.
  • Review and continuously improve upon existing instructional materials, course agendas, lecture topics, lesson plans, handouts or demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with internal partner teams (i.e., Product Management, Marketing, Sales) to plan and implement surgeon educational programs throughout the G7/EMEA region.
  • Assist in organizing onsite and offsite workshops and educational courses for surgeons, business partners and other work groups as assigned.
  • Liaises with Acumed's headquarters and G7 and EMEA Management, Marketing, Medical Education, and Marketing Communications to create trade show direction and focus, ensuring the appropriate branding and marketing collateral is ordered and delivered.
  • Facilitates Operating Room visits with Health Care Providers (orthopedic surgeons) and distributors/agents while strictly adhering to Acumed's compliance guidelines.
  • Collaborates with other team Members to coordinate the development and finalization of key study documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and related field experience required.
  • Three or more years of experience in medical education and training preferred.
  • Solid understanding of G7/EMEA's regional business practices, as well as its diverse cultures.
  • Ability to professionally handle customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with Acumed's practices and compliant with all applicable regulations.
  • Must be able to travel regularly, up to 60% of the time, in the assigned territory (Europe, Middle East & Africa).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-functional, team oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, training and relationship management skills, demonstrated ability to interact with other professionals to gather and disseminate information.
  • Strong attention to detail, tolerance for time pressure deadlines and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver results with multiple and complex projects.
