Why does ACUTE need a Director, Global Sales & Marketing?

The Director of Global Sales and Marketing establishes the vision and develops and executes the strategic goals and objectives of the sales, marketing, and customer service teams at ACUTE. This includes developing, growing, managing a high performing global sales force; executing marketing promotion and support for all products and the company brand; achieving accurate, prompt and efficient customer service; analyzing the global market to develop and execute product and new business strategies; managing, developing, coaching sales & marketing team members.


  • Develops Sales and Marketing short and long term goals and evaluates the needs for future growth, including the department's organizational structure and budget resource needs.
  • Strategic leadership and management of global sales development, sales operations, company band and product marketing activities and the employees you serve.
  • Uses sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products lines, analyzes business opportunities and monitoring market trends.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales agent/distributor proposals and contracts in order to ensure the hiring of those that best fit within ACUTE's global distribution strategic plans.  Develop and execute improvement plans.
  • Uses cross-functional communication, interaction, and collaboration on projects and goal achievement with other departments, i.e., Engineering, Accounting, Inventory, Quality, and Regulatory to help the company as a whole succeed.
  • Generates and implements process improvement initiatives.
  • Establishes international product registration priorities by country.
  • Accomplishes sales and marketing human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.   
  • Works with direct reports to establish performance goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. 

What you will bring us:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years relevant experience; international experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of Sales and Marketing Business Practices and markets
  • 5+ years' experience with medical products or medical devices highly preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-functional and team oriented environment 
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, demonstrated ability to interact with other professionals to gather and disseminate information knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
