The Product Manager is responsible for driving mid- to large sized projects across departments including Events, Marketing, Sales and Product Management, managing one or more product lines within a portfolio. The focus of the position is heavily oriented toward high level industry/customer interaction and tactical items surrounding both new product introduction and legacy products.

This role is key to the success of Acumed's trauma portfolio. We are looking for an energetic and motivated marketing professional to join our team!

• Assist with the formulation of product portfolio strategies and tactical execution of those strategies.
• Provide high-level technical product information in response to customer questions/requests.
• Responsible for gathering and analyzing "voice of customer" data and driving implementation of customer feedback into product design.
• Conduct domestic and international product training programs for internal and external customers. Train Acumed field representatives on Acumed products and the competition at an advanced level.
• Develop and proposes ideas to adjust and promote various product lines in order to improve sales and profit.
• Assist in developing surgeon relationships for consulting, product development, case studies, etc.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and cost effective launch of products.
• Prepare product information documents, technical guides, and other marketing materials for assigned products.
• Provide mentorship and training to Associate Product Managers when necessary.
• Responsible for taking and answering technical calls regarding Acumed products, both during and outside of regular business hours.
• Conduct primary market research based on published literature, consulting surgeon surveys and field surveys.
• Facilitate use of secondary market research through purchased reports, market research vendor resources and other business development sources.
• Responsible for independently writing product information for marketing and communications to the field.
• Represent Product Management on Product Development Teams and is responsible for communicating and/or completing tasks assigned to Product Management for mid- to large sized projects assigned.
• Represent Acumed by directly interfacing with surgeons and sales partners at domestic and international tradeshows, bioskills courses, cadaver labs and other product training events.
• Responsible for gaining general product knowledge of the entire Acumed product portfolio in order to independently represent Acumed at events.
• Originate and oversee creation of new product presentation materials. Secure visuals for use in product management presentations, training events and sales support materials.
• Manage feedback from field regarding Acumed product and enter data into product feedback database and the Acumed complaint system.

• BA/BS degree in marketing, communications or related field of study required.
• 3+ years of work experience in a Product Management or Marketing role.
• High level verbal and written communication skills required for interacting with customers and coworkers.
• Must demonstrate strong presentation skills and the ability to create and deliver presentations to large groups of peers and customers.
• Proven positive and professional demeanor.
• Self-starter; ability to take ownership over processes.
• Advanced computer skills working with Excel and PowerPoint, proficient in remaining MS Office Suite.
