Warehouse Inventory Analyst

The Warehouse Inventory Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and efficient handling of finished goods inventory. The Analyst provides leadership and technical training for the personnel assigned to launch activities. The Analyst will also be required to collect and report effective metrics related to Inventory Control. Significant project work is involved.  Must be able to lead small cross-functional teams.

Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Confer with departmental employees to ensure processes are accurately followed.
  2. Responsible for developing and maintaining an effective cycle count program.
  3. Analyze and provide effective solutions for improved storage and movement of goods.
  4. Recommend improvements to processes in order to maintain proficiency in warehousing methods, including new technologies, processes, and equipment.
  5. Monitor key measurements and make improvements on warehouse processes.
  6. Investigate and report issues related to inventory accuracy and quality.
  7. Manage placement of new products within the warehouse.
  8. Ensure that obsolete/restricted products are removed from inventory; dispose per Acumed policy.
  9. Ensure SAP material master fields related to warehousing are maintained accurately.
  10. Provide process and SAP support and training for employees within the Logistics Department.
  11. Represent the department in cross-functional teams as needed.
  12. Responsible for daily direction of work for product launch activities.
  13. Support new-hire and cross-functional training programs.
  14. Assist with interviewing as needed and make hiring recommendations.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting required.
  2. A combination of training and experience that demonstrates the required skills, such as:
    1. 2+ years in an Inventory Control/Analyst or equivalent position.
    2. 4+ years working in a warehouse environment.
  3. Ability to produce results both individually and with a team with limited supervision.
  4. Detail-oriented with strong focus on quality.
  5. Strong communication skills required for interacting with coworkers, customers, and senior levels of management.
  6. Self-motivated; take ownership of area systems. Understand how processes interact and impact other areas/departments.
  7. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite required with advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  8. Proven proficiency in SAP, or other advanced ERP system.
  9. Ability to effectively manage and adapt to change.
  10. Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  11. Ability to organize, prioritize and effectively manage launch activities.
  12. Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  13. Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, maintain composure and adhere to daily deadlines.
  14. Proven ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
