Country Marketing Manager, Japan

The Country Marketing Manager (CMM) is responsible for planning and executing medical education, training, voice of customer activities (VOC) and other upstream & downstream marketing activities in Japan. The CMM works closely with the International Regional Business Manager, Product Management and Medical Education to develop and execute marketing strategies specific to Japan.   

Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Engages and establishes relationships with KOLs in the local area to support marketing strategies
  2. Supports the local sales & marketing team in national, international and third-party events, including;
    • Communication with KOL & participants
    • Document, track and follow-up on training activities attended by all Sales & Marketing staff, including distributor partners
    • Providing sales and product training support for local sales teams
    • Supports sales teams with field calls and local/regional/global conferences
  3. Contributes to specific Marketing projects aligned with country-specific marketing strategies (i.e. product campaigns, products launches, regional marketing materials, upstream and downstream VOC, portfolio planning, competitive analysis activities, etc.)
  4. Responsible for specific regional NPI projects and providing voice of local region
  5. Follows up on on-going clinical studies and new clinical study proposals

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field required
  2. Three or more years of experience in the orthopedic market in local region required
  3. Solid understanding of Japanese regional business practices required
  4. Regulatory experience in the applicable country market preferred
  5. Ability to professionally handle customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with Acumed's practices and compliant with all applicable regulations
  6. Must be able to travel regularly, up to 60% of the time, primarily in the assigned territory (Japan) and Internationally as needed
  7. Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-functional, team oriented environment
  8. Strong interpersonal, training and relationship management skills, demonstrated ability to interact with other professionals to gather and disseminate information
  9. Ability to read and understand English
