Logistics & Customer Service Specialist

The Logistics and Customer Service Specialist (LSCS) packs and ships all inventory to ensure on time arrival, tracks outgoing and return shipments and manages product inventory and marketing products. The Logistics and Customer Service Specialist (LSCS) provides customer service support by responding to questions from customers, vendors, and sales representatives and following established procedures to provide answers or refer calls to appropriate staff. The LSCS ensures high-level customer service, and works to resolve complaints in accordance with ACUTE procedures. The LSCS accurately and efficiently processes orders, ships orders, processes loaner and return inventory, maintains good documentation, recommends process improvements, and provides effective communication.


  • Performs inventory management and warehouse duties including properly storing and preparing inventory for shipment, shipping and receiving product, processing returns, and entering transactions into ERP system.
  • Accurately manages inventory, prepares and ships products for tradeshows, labs, meetings.
  • Performs regular audits and administers cycle counts of demo and non-demo inventory to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Accurately enters inventory movement transactions into ERP system to ensure traceability of product at all times.
  • Maintains relationships with shipping vendors to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of product and demos.
  • Promptly answers, screens and forwards calls, responds to inquiries via telephone and email from outside sales representatives and Regional Business Managers, and enters orders into ERP system.
  • Resolves billing issues and shipping discrepancies by researching and responding to inquiries.
  • Follows established written procedures to receive, record, and process customer complaints professionally.
  • Maintains minimum levels of shipping supplies, places re-orders when necessary.
  • Continuously evaluate, identify, and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
  • Operate and maintain shipping equipment.


  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • High school Diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 -2 years prior experience in a customer service role required.
  • Prior warehouse and shipping experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to produce results, prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, set a good example for others, project a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
  • Effectively resolve problems and answer questions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated with good organization skills and habits.
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Technologically intuitive, computer literacy required and experience with MS Office suite required (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or Google Mail & Calendar.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn new things and take on new projects.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintain composure and adhere to daily deadlines.
  • Can read, write and speak English sufficiently to complete all paperwork.
  • Ability to work independently, within a team structure and with other departments.
